Also while down at Drie's parent's home, we took a trip out to a local park to feed the birds. As we walked around Firestone Metro Park these Mallard Ducks were showing off (I think they were looking for hand-outs).

Ice Coating (again)
Ice Coating 3
I went out again today for about an hour hunting for more ice coatings. This was about the best of the ice coatings that I found all day.

While waiting for a buddy to hit a local camera shop I decided to mess with the 105mm Micro. This did turn out quite the way I had wanted, but it's the only shot I was able to get so far this year. Hopefully I'll be able to get out tomorrow and shot some more.

Polar Bears Again!
Did You Clean Behind Your Ears?
Drie and I hit the Detroit Zoo again this past Sunday, pretty late in the day. There's more photos in my Flickr account than I'll be posting here.

Another Day Following the North Pole Express
We spent another day chasing the Pere Marquette 1225 as she pulled the Steam Railroading Institute's North Pole Express family trips. None of the photos I came back with were as good as ones I've done before, but having been done with the D2X this time, the detail is much better. So here are a few of the better shots from Saturday.
...and in case you were wondering, it was cold.
